I have been working in mental health, music therapy and animal assisted therapy for nine years in the Rochester NY area, following a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy at Nazareth University. Starting as a music therapist at various agencies in the area, I worked primarily with children and young adults with developmental disabilities, complex medical needs and behavioral challenges in both school and community settings. After graduating with my MSW from SUNY Brockport, I started providing counseling and animal assisted therapy as well. With experience working in both special education and general education, I am passionate about helping students and families navigate the school and special education systems in NY, as well as connecting families with helpful mental health and social services as needed.
I look forward to meeting you and your family to determine how I can best help you to meet your goals and get connected to support you need. My Therapy Dog, Daphne is TDI (Therapy Dog International) certified and loves meeting new people. She is a golden retriever who prefers playing chase rather than retrieving toys as her breed suggests!
